Macintosh 2016 _BEST_

NOTE: PowerPoint for Macintosh versions 2016 and 2011 are very similar. This section describes both. Screenshots from the 2011 version may differ slightly from the 2016 version but the features work the same way.

The following table provides release history information and download links for Office for Mac. The table is ordered by release date, with the most recent release date listed first. The build date is listed in parentheses, in a YYMMDD format, after the version number. All releases after August 22, 2016 are 64-bit only. All releases prior to August 22, 2016 are 32-bit only.

A prominent part of macOS's original brand identity was the use of Roman numeral X, pronounced "ten" as in Mac OS X and also the iPhone X, as well as code naming each release after species of big cats, or places within California.[10] Apple shortened the name to "OS X" in 2011 and then changed it to "macOS" in 2016 to align with the branding of Apple's other operating systems, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS. After sixteen distinct versions of macOS 10, macOS Big Sur was presented as version 11 in 2020, macOS Monterey was presented as version 12 in 2021, and macOS Ventura was presented as version 13 in 2022.

In 2016, with the release of macOS 10.12 Sierra, the name was changed from OS X to macOS to align it with the branding of Apple's other primary operating systems: iOS, watchOS, and tvOS.[45] macOS Sierra added Siri, iCloud Drive, picture-in-picture support, a Night Shift mode that switches the display to warmer colors at night, and two Continuity features: Universal Clipboard, which syncs a user's clipboard across their Apple devices, and Auto Unlock, which can unlock a user's Mac with their Apple Watch. macOS Sierra also adds support for the Apple File System (APFS), Apple's successor to the dated HFS+ file system.[46][47][48] macOS 10.13 High Sierra, released in 2017, included performance improvements, Metal 2 and HEVC support, and made APFS the default file system for SSD boot drives.[49]

Apple's original plan with macOS was to require all developers to rewrite their software into the Cocoa APIs. This caused much outcry among existing Mac developers, who threatened to abandon the platform rather than invest in a costly rewrite, and the idea was shelved.[15][77] To permit a smooth transition from Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X, the Carbon Application Programming Interface (API) was created.[15] Applications written with Carbon were initially able to run natively on both classic Mac OS and Mac OS X, although this ability was later dropped as Mac OS X developed. Carbon was not included in the first product sold as Mac OS X: the little-used original release of Mac OS X Server 1.0, which also did not include the Aqua interface.[78] Apple limited further development of Carbon from the release of Leopard onwards and announced that Carbon applications would not run at 64-bit.[77][15] A number of macOS applications continued to use Carbon for some time afterwards, especially ones with heritage dating back to the classic Mac OS and for which updates would be difficult, uneconomic or not necessary. This included Microsoft Office up to Office 2016, and Photoshop up to CS5.[79][77] Early versions of macOS could also run some classic Mac OS applications through the Classic Environment with performance limitations; this feature was removed from 10.5 onwards and all Macs using Intel processors.

As of July 2016, macOS is the second-most-active general-purpose desktop client operating system used on the World Wide Web following Microsoft Windows, with a 4.90% usage share according to statistics compiled by the Wikimedia Foundation. It is the second-most widely used desktop operating system (for web browsing), after Windows, and is estimated at five times the usage of Linux (which has 1.01%). Usage share generally continues to shift away from the desktop and toward mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android.[238]

I'm trying to get a macro that works perfectly in Excel 2011 for Mac to work in Excel 2016 for mac. The goal is to have the user specify a folder with .csv files in it, and then the macro loops through all the .csvs, opening each to copy information out of it into another Workbook.

am currently still in quickbooks for Mac 2016 and have a customer that has a partial paid invoice outstanding. they had me process a $500 payment electronically through merchant service center, subsequently it was return NSF ... how do I correctly take it from deposit and reapply to remaining balance of on original invoice?

Thank you for replying Mirriam... I don't have the icon for bounced checks in QB for Mac 2016... so not sure what to do at this point I created accounts for "bounced checks" and NSF Fee... but not sure what to do... ??

My thanks for the instructions to my post... I have stayed with QB for Mac 2016 and do plan on updating but, probably not until end of year... that being said Klent, I followed everything you posted and included our NSF charge for check back onto the original invoice of the business. The outstanding question is this, what and or how am I to record the charge from Intuit for the $10 they took for the NSF run? My apology for being later than shoulda been for responding but, just sat back down to do books again this morning and that is standing out as a charge (debit) that I haven't accounted for. Please let me know, the only thing I can think is to create a check and in # section use ACH and make payee Intuit Merchant Services for the $10 charge.. is this the proper way or is there another correct? way to do this?? Thanks for your time with me on this, Roger

I recommend visiting this PDF link since you're using the 2016 version: QuickBooks For Mac User's Guide. It contains in-depth details about managing your lists, accounts, items, income, expenses, banking, and company file.

Apple finds itself in a simultaneously difficult and enviable position in 2016. Having cast its spell over the laptop, the smartphone and the tablet, it has run out of things to revolutionise, things to invent. It seems that Apple is starting to plateau, in both creative and financial terms, but (perhaps unfairly) it must live up to its own hype every time it releases a product. Such as this amazing MacBook, an update to the original 12-inch MacBook unveiled in 2015.

After the install you will see 5 new icons on your Dock for each of the applications included in Office 2016. You will need to open all the apps per the below instructions prior to updating. Note-the first time opening each app may take a few minutes.

Apple no longer sells the original iPhone SE, and the 2020 iPhone SE is only available in 64GB and 128GB storage options. The tech giant removed the 256GB iPhone SE (2020) from its online store following Apple's iPhone 13 event in September. If you have your heart set on the oldest iPhone SE, however, there are refurbished options available. Just note that some rumors predict that iOS 16, Apple's next major iPhone update, will not support the now 6-year-old iPhone SE (2016).

Aside from availability, the 2020 and 2016 iPhone SE share some similarities. They both have a physical home button and are compact in size. Although the 2020 iPhone SE is slightly larger at 4.7 inches, compared to the original iPhone SE's 4-inch screen and even the iPhone 13 Mini, it's still considered a small phone by today's standards.

Like the 2016 version, the 2020 iPhone SE also has a single camera on the phone's rear. According to CNET's Andrew Lanxon, it's most similar to the iPhone 11 Pro's standard zoom lens. (Here's a deeper look into how the 2020 iPhone SE's camera compares to the iPhone 11 Pro's camera system and some cool camera tricks you can do with the iPhone SE.)

Below are the iPhone SE 2020 and 2016 specs compared. For more, check CNET's iPhone SE 3 wishlist, all the rumors we've heard about the iPhone SE so far and how it could compare to the 2020 iPhone SE. You can also explore our Apple event expectations.
